Syncing TES (Edval 10) with Edrolo

What is it?

TES (Edval 10) integrates directly with Edrolo to sync your timetable with our enrolment management system. This improves data security, speed, and accuracy, while reducing the need for manual enrolment change requests or data exports. As a result, we’re making things easier for your school, and ensuring a smoother experience for students and staff.

By setting up Auto Sync on Save, you’ll reduce administrative work and minimise delays throughout the year for both students and teachers.

If your school uses TES (E10), follow these steps to set it up:

Step 1: Server Configuration (initial setup only)

  1. Go to File > Synchronise > Configure.
  2. Select the "Sync" tab.
  3. Click the plus sign and choose "Generic LISS server" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Configure next to "Generic LISS server" to go to the "Connection" tab.
  5. In the top-right corner, make sure "Generic LISS server" is selected from the drop-down field.
  6. Enter your credentials (Edrolo will provide the Username and Password).
  7. Set the URL to: https://edrolo.com.au/liss/rpc 
  8. Leave the "Proxy" checkbox unticked.
  9. Click Test connection. If successful, click Ok.
  10. If you need new credentials, please request them from Edrolo.
  11. Leave the School code field blank.

Step 2: Other Settings (initial setup only)

  1. Go to the "Other" tab and set the following options:
    • Communication Protocol: JSON
    • Sync each time you save
    • Exclude Yard Duties
    • Exclude Study Classes
    • Exclude On-Call
    • SURNAME, Preferred (for name format)

Step 3: Advanced Sync Settings

  1. Go to the "Sync now" tab and select the "Advanced" sub-tab.
  2. Under "Timetable --> Generic LISS server", select these options:
    • Publish Classes
    • Publish Class Lists
    • Publish Timetable
    • Publish Students
    • Publish Teachers
  3. Leave all other options unchecked.
  4. Click Go to sync your timetable Edrolo.

Once set up, your system will automatically sync, reducing the need for manual updates and making it easier to manage enrolments.
