Syncing TES (Edval 9) with Edrolo

What is it?

TES’s (Edval 9) Edrolo integration allows your timetable to sync directly with our enrolment management system. This improves data security, speed, and accuracy while reducing the need for extra administrative work.

By eliminating the need to send individual enrolment change requests or data exports, we make using Edrolo easier for both your students and staff.

If your school uses TES (E9), please follow these steps for initial set up:

Step 1: Configure (initial set up only)

There are two options for syncing your system:

Option A. Sync with Edrolo only:

  1. Go to File > Sync with system > Configuration.
  2. In the System tab, select ‘Edrolo (LISS)’ from the drop-down menu.

Option B. Sync with multiple systems (including Edrolo)

  1. Go to File > Sync with system > Configuration.
  2. In the System tab, select ‘(Multiple systems)’ from the drop-down.
  3. In addition to your other systems (like Sentral or Compass), select ‘Generic (LISS)’.
  4. Click ‘Configure’ next to ‘Generic (LISS)’.

Step 2: Connect (initial set up only)

  1. Go to the Connection tab. The ‘URL’ and ‘School code’ fields will be automatically filled in.
  2. Enter the username and password provided by Edrolo (your “LISS credentials”).
  3. Leave the ‘Proxy’ checkbox unticked.
  4. Click ‘Test connection’. If successful, click ‘Ok’.

Step 3: Other settings (initial set up only)

In the ‘Other’ tab, you’ll find additional settings.

  • Exclude Yard duties/Study classes/On-calls: Tick this box to automatically filter out these classes from the timetable. This will speed up the processing of enrolment changes.

Once completed, click ‘Ok’. Your TES timetable is now configured to communicate with Edrolo!

Ongoing Syncing

After the initial setup, you’ll need to manually sync your system regularly to keep your classes and enrolments updated in Edrolo. We recommend syncing at least once a week throughout the year.
